“When I read the book I could hear the voices of Tony Robbins or Dr. Phil McGraw as well as many other shining lights of the self-help genre. The beauty of Bradbury’s work is these are endorsed principles of success and he has absorbed and summarised every one. This is a treasure trove of self assessment and betterment.”

Paul Stenning author of Success By Those Who’ve Made It

Unleash The Magnificent You! didn't disappoint me at all and I finished it in a few days! As someone in her twenties, I found the book very insightful. It encompasses all topics of life and asks the right questions. I particularly enjoyed the first 10 chapters which were the most relevant for someone like me, starting a career and wondering what on earth I am doing with my life.

I enjoyed the length of the chapters which made it easy to digest and navigate from one chapter to another. The topics are always well introduced and I particularly liked the 'Try this' and advice which turned the words into realistic and achievable actions. That's also why I would recommend it to people around me who are not especially big readers but could use some advice. It sums up everything one could need to make baby steps towards a better life.

This book is amazing in terms of learning and developing as a person. It has taught me how to understand my values and morals - it is important to know these so you can thrive in life. I like how there are set activities nearing the end of the chapters which help reflect on and implement the things you’ve learnt. I would recommend this book to any one of any age, or someone who doesn’t know who they are, as this will help you flourish into a magnificent you.

If you've tried a few self-help books and feel they don't reflect you or your particular needs, or if you're just not sure which one to choose from the daunting amount available, this could be for you. Because it's for everyone. Christopher Bradbury has done the hard work for you, compiling a book packed with so many different methods to help you be the person you want to be. Not perfect, not a superhero, just where you want to be in life.

I knew I'd be a challenge for this book, and I won't lie, I haven't yet unleashed the magnificent me. There are multiple areas I want to work on, with many of my anxieties and personality traits so deep seated that it is going to take a lot of practising the personal challenges to get me where I want to be but that's where this book is so good, it utilises elements from across the self-help book spectrum so you can find which method, or methods, works for you so you can curate your own pathway and set your own challenges.

In depth, but accessible, the book covers so many subjects in manageable sections and foregoes buzzwords and fads, instead using plain speak and relatable situations. From trying to help you assess the person you are, to achieving whatever goals are important to you, Unleash The Magnificent You covers everything from understanding your own values, worries and vulnerability to improving social skills, contentment and enjoyment. And it also allows you to allow yourself to not be perfect, to embrace failure and to recognise the value in each and every aspect of your personality and your interactions, whether in your personal life or your career, and manages to avoid judgement and condescension.

I love self-help books. They just help me keep things in check. They remind me what to focus on and what not to. I loved this book in particular because it doesn’t have long chapters. It has small individual chapters on different topics that are very useful in everyday life. I feel that’s an advantage for people just starting to read self-help books. The concepts are written with examples from daily life, experiences of people. There is a “Try This” section which I found was the most useful thing. You can tell how much I loved the book. Have you found your calling?

This book is very well constructed. Lots of short powerful chapters that you can go back and forth to and from. I enjoyed it while it made me think - goal set and reflect. It is the sort of book you go back and look at time and time again to remind yourself about important snippets. Have a notebook at the ready. You won’t be disappointed if you buy this book.

I came across this book while I was starting my own business. This book is a perfect self-help guide for newbies like me. Thank you Christopher for all the proven tips you shared generously with the readers! One that sinks in is “to choose your values, not someone else’s”. Yes! This book is not for blind confidence, but to help build real confidence that works like a miracle on you, and you only. I started with an optimist’s vocabulary and snap decisions. With all these practices, I cleared up my self-doubt and I am to embark on my path to success in my business!

This is a great book as an introduction to self-reflection and examination. Chris Bradbury has used years of research and life experience to bring together a thorough overview of different methods for self-improvement, with useful tasks to complete. Each chapter is a different topic covered in a few pages so you can use it like a reference book and read the bits that feel relevant to you, or you can read it cover to cover. I'd highly recommend to anyone who wants a handy guide to self-improvement.

A good book to read if you'd like to learn more about yourself. Written in a simple language with easy to follow tips and activities, it's a guide to help you discover what are your values and how to focus on these in order to improve your life. "We all have the capacity to understand how to live a successful, meaningful life; we just need to stop letting everything else get in the way."

A brilliant and concise style that covers all kinds of subjects. From alcohol to work, fear, decisions, money and friendships, Bradbury offers great value advice across the spectrum. Highly recommended.

January is the month for self-help books. “It’s February now!” I hear you cry, “we don’t have to bother with any of that New Year’s Resolution stuff! ” but indulge me a while.  Firstly, I read this in January and more importantly, as we all suspect, the first month of the year is not the best for lasting, positive change.  On a recent health-check a very astute nurse said weight-loss plans are probably not best begun at this time of year when there are unopened Christmas treats lurking and that three quarters full bottle of Baileys calling out to you on the cold January nights so I’m pleased to tell you that Christopher Bradbury’s inspiring self-help book is not just for January and that Magnificent You can be unleashed the whole year round!
